The Central Japan Railway company has announced that it will be building the worlds fastest Maglev system, with a top operating speed of 310mph, to connect Tokyo and central Japan. For those who don’t know, Maglev trains use superconducting magnets to levitate about 10mm above their tracks, allowing for a fast, smooth and frictionless ride. [...]
